| Options held an art competition for young people to encourage the community to be involved in the service & used the event to engage local businesses( who donated prizes) & also the competition raised awareness of the services. Entries from the competition are framed and displayed in the service forall visitors to the service to see. |

| Options are able to use the 'Step Forward Young People's Steering Group' as a forum to engage young people's views . The group are used extensively for the set up of the options clinic in stepforward , eg. the young people chose the name- 'Forward thinking'. |

| Lead HIV CNS and led in the developemnt of the subgroup for North East London to roll out the principle of ' expert staff, patients and communities . The grouop meets regularly and has represenattives from a range of services across North East London providing care to people with HIV and sexual Health services. Effective service user has been difficult to achieve and therfeor it has been important to keep listening to the service users that have contributed and ensure their views are used to inform how the group works. An event is planned for October which will be aimed at all users of sexual health and HIV services across North East London. This wil be used to support users in becoming more involved , establishing what they want to from their services having a voice that supports effective engagement. |
